A ferry from Kyrenia in Northern Cyprus was traveling to Turkey when it overturned and sank at sea. At least eight people died. Eighteen people are missing, and about 237 people were rescued.
The captain and several crew members were arrested after the accident. The wreck is more than 500 meters underwater, making the search very difficult.
